FAQ

Questions we get asked.

How working with a small Winnipeg software studio actually goes, from the first email to after launch.

Getting started

How do I get started?
Send a few details through the project form, or book a free 30-minute intro call. We reply within one to two business days.
What happens after I get in touch?
We read your request and reply by email. Then there's a 30-minute call to understand the business, followed by a written proposal with scope, timeline and price.
How much does it cost?
It depends on what you need. After a free 30-minute call we send a written proposal with scope, timeline and price, so you know the cost before any work starts.
Do you only work with Winnipeg businesses?
No. We're based in Winnipeg and take on projects from across Manitoba, including Brandon, Steinbach and Winkler, and further afield: Balancing Bru is in Zürich and Seascape serves shops in Belize.
Where are you located?
Our office is at 1855 Ness Ave, Unit 4, Winnipeg, MB R3J 0Y5. Call (204) 995-1430 or email kyle@jagassar.ca.

Working together

Who will I work with?
You talk to the people designing and writing your software, not an account manager.
How do we see progress?
You click through flows and screens before anything is built, then get working software in short cycles on a preview link you can share with your team.
Will my website be fast and secure?
Yes. Everything we build runs on fast, secure hosting with nothing for you to maintain, and we keep an eye on it after launch so problems are caught early.
Who owns the code and data?
You do. You own your code, content and customer data, and we build so you're never locked in.

After launch

Do you host and look after what you build?
Yes. We look after what we build: hosting, monitoring, backups, updates and changes as your business grows.
Can I edit my website myself?
Yes. We build in easy editing so you can change pages and content without a developer.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I move from my old site?
We redirect every old URL to its new page, so links and search results keep working. We did this for Balancing Bru's move off WordPress.
